"Your Best Friend" on Exclaim! TV

Having inked a worldwide deal with Pure Noise Records this past summer, Canadian pop punkers Seaway have a lot on their plate in rounding out 2014. Currently on the road with Gob, the band will perform alongside Silverstein for a few select dates in December, on top of releasing their All In My Head EP in Canada through New Damage Records.

We met up with three members of the Oakville band at the Exclaim! office for an acoustic performance of EP track "Your Best Friend," which they originally premiered as parody boy band "Seaboiz" in the comical accompanying video.

The feverish twin-guitar strumming of Patrick Carleton and Andrew Eichinger starts things off before vocalist Ryan Locke joins in, singing of a jealous former lover. Poised and focused, Locke reaches up into a forceful higher register throughout the performance, trading off lines (and even harmonizing at points) with Carleton.
