"Spotted Brown" comes from Sean Nicholas Savage's 2011 album Flamingo, but the quirky Montreal songwriter has only just given it a lyric video in the form of an intimate live performance clip.
Filmed by Touchy Mob, the clip consists of a single stationary shot. We see Savage wearing shades and — after having a smoke — singing along with the smooth, synth-y pop tune in front of a crooked mirror. Meanwhile, the lyrics pop up at the bottom of the screen and the vocalist boogies along.
The songwriter had this to say about the video:
touchy and me rehearsing for a european tour a few months back, i hadn't sung spotted brown in a long time, so i got all charged up when he played the music for me, and we video'd it. although u can't see touch, beautiful as he may be; u can hear him singing a bit, and those synth lines n bass etc. i wore shades cos i was real blazy that day, n feeling shyyy
