Back in February, Vancouver two-piece Seaborne introduced us to their emotional brand of electro with the track "Night Waves," and now they've returned with a brand new cut called "Finally."
The track arrives before the release of their debut EP Lustre, and hears the duo of Maryse Bernard and Solomon Krause-Imlach further showcasing their penchant for beat-driven percussion and moody vocals, swirling together to create soundscapes that are simultaneously dark and dreamy. On top of the meticulously crafted sound, there's also a message of empowerment behind the music.
"The song is about confronting someone who used to have a lot of control over your life and letting them know they can't affect you anymore," Bernard tells Exclaim! "It comes to terms with a toxic relationship and celebrates how that chapter is completely closed."
Lustre is due out later this summer. In the meantime, up the anticipation by giving "Finally" a listen below.
