The Sea and Cake Join Broken Social Scene on North American Tour
Those of you planning to catch Broken Social Scene on their massive North American tour this year just got a lot more bang for your buck. Indie/jazz quartet the Sea and Cake have signed on as supporting act for almost the entire jaunt.

The Sea and Cake will join the tour on September 13 in Washington, DC and will remain until the tour's conclusion in Los Angeles in later October. Of course, the news isn't terribly surprising. As we reported earlier this year, Sea and Cake members Sam Prekop and John McEntire both played a large part in the recording and, in the latter case, producing of the Toronto collective's latest, Forgiveness Rock Record.

The Sea and Cake's last album was 2008's Car Alarm. News of a possible new album has yet to surface. The band's tour dates, all of which are with Broken Social Scene, are below.
