School of Seven Bells Set Up Charity Fund for Cancer-Stricken Benjamin Curtis

Last month, School of Seven Bells announced that the group's Benjamin Curtis had been diagnosed with cancer and would be undergoing "pretty aggressive" chemotherapy sessions. The act have now started a benefit fund called Support Benjamin Curtis to help handle the costs of the musician's medical treatment.

As previously reported, Curtis had been admitted to a hospital earlier this year over health issues before doctors diagnosed him with the rare type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma called T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma. The illness apparently developed aggressively but a press release had bandmate Alejandra Deheza saying that Curtis "responding really well to treatment."

"Rough as it has been, it's your messages and posts that have inspired us and keep us focused on the path ahead," she added.

BC electronic musician Teen Daze is also trying to help out the cause, having posted a new tune titled "Light & Love" as a tribute/benefit for Curtis.

"This single was released to help raise support for Benjamin Curtis (School of Seven Bells) as he makes his way through cancer treatment. I've been a fan of his work for a long time, and I felt like this would be a great way to help out him out during this tough time," Teen Daze wrote, adding that all proceeds for the $1 single will go to Support Benjamin Curtis.

You can stream the song below and buy it on Teen Daze's Bandcamp.
