Arcade Fire violinist Sarah Neufeld released her Hero Brother solo album six months ago, and now it's been revisited with an expanded digital edition that comes with the bonus EP Black Ground, which you can now stream online. She's also shared a video for the newly unveiled "Breathing Black Ground (Orchestral Version)."
Whereas Hero Brother was a solo violin album, this orchestral adaptation of the track "Breathing Black Ground" adds lush strings arranged by Owen Pallett and mixed by Tim Hecker. The accompanying video was directed by Brad Todd, and it's a split-screen clip that shows a dog in the snow on one side and some sort of dollhouse in a pond on the other.

Hero Brother's bonus edition also includes the tracks "Muscle Til Death" and "Requiem for Douglas." Along with "Breathing Black Ground (Orchestral Version)," these make up the Black Ground EP. The songs can be streamed below.
