We already knew that this year's SappyFest was going to be a good one, since the organizers of the Sackville, NB-based event had previously confirmed acts like Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra, Yamantaka//Sonic Titan and Mike O'Neill. Now, they've rolled out the full lineup for the seventh instalment of the festival, which will run from August 3 to 5.
Among the big names who have joined the lineup are Fucked Up, Timber Timbre, Cold Specks, the Music Tapes, Calvin Johnson, the Blow, Bruce Peninsula, Bry Webb, Baby Eagle & the Proud Mothers, Michael Hurley, Julie Doiron, Marine Dream, Snailhouse, Eamon McGrath, Dog Day, Cousins, Christine Fellows, B.A. Johnson and more.
Performances will take place in downtown Sackville, with walking distance venues including an outdoor main stage, an art deco theatre, a church, the Royal Canadian Legion, and more. In addition to music, the program includes art, dance, readings, a press fair, film screening and a market.
