Sanctums

'Migrant Workers' (album stream)

BY Josiah HughesPublished Apr 7, 2016

It's been a few years since he last heard from Calgary duo Sanctums, but the wait has paid off in a major way with the arrival of their sophomore LP.

The nine-track release is called Migrant Workers, and the release is dedicated to the struggle of migrant workers the world over. Once again, it showcases the duo's penchant for hard-hitting beats and vast ambient soundscapes.

Here's a statement about the release straight from the band:

Straddling the lines between futurist cyber punk storyboard and modern day socio-political critique, Sanctums latest offering is both a statement of solidarity with the plight of Migrant Workers worldwide and a condemnation of the industrial complex that facilitates the often inhuman conditions placed upon them.

Migrant Workers arrives tomorrow (April 8) via Modern Math. Until then, you can stream the album in full below.
