Sampha Shares Solo Version of Drake Collaboration "Too Much," Announces New Single
Rising UK R&B singer Sampha hit big in 2013 with his Dual EP and a guest spot on Drake's Nothing Was the Same LP. He's now capitalizing on the buzz by announcing a new single.

A press release from Young Turks notes that Sampha's two-song "Too Much" / "Happens" single arrives as a digital download next Monday (November 11), with a 7-inch vinyl release set to drop January 7.

The A-side will sound familiar to Drake fans, considering a demo version of "Too Much" was sampled for the hook of Drizzy's Nothing Was the Same song of the same name, which also featured Sampha's vocal hook. You'll find the UK artist's spacious solo version in the just-as-minimalist video clip down below.

While a preview of "Happens" has yet to appear, the brand new track is described as "warm and sincere" and also featuring "nothing but piano and Sampha's voice."

Also arriving next week is the Solange-curated Saint Heron compilation, which includes Sampha's Dual track "Beneath the Tree." The collection also includes a mix of new and previously released cuts from Solange, Kelela, Jhene Aiko and more.
