Calgarian singer-songwriter, Samantha Savage Smith, dropped by to do a set for Exclaim! TV on an abnormally hot March afternoon.
On "It's a Burn" Smith sings about "melting away on a hot, hot day." As spring turns into summer, this will be a solid addition to any seasonal playlist.
The song is one of the first glimpses of new material we've seen since Smith's debut album, Tough Cookie, came out this past fall. It's very much in tune with her lush and airy indie folk sound.
Smith is playing in Ottawa tonight and Montreal tomorrow before heading back west.
