After offering up a bite-sized snippet of strings work over Twitter the other day, UK pop star Sam Smith is now shaking up the Bond franchise with a full stream of his newly launched Spectre single, "Writing's on the Wall."

As previously reported, the soundtrack single was co-written between Smith and Jimmy Napes, but it's now been revealed that Disclosure assisted in producing the tune. That said, don't go in expecting a big house-pop beat blaring through the speakers. This is old-style, orchestral pop whimsy, with a swell of symphony strings percolating beneath the softened, almost weary vocal.

"I've spent a lifetime running, and I always get away, but with you I'm feeling something that makes me want to stay," Smith says early on, laying it all on the line for his love a few moments with a hopeful, "If I risk it all, could you break my fall?"

You can take a chance on the Spectre song below. It went up for sale today (September 25) as a standalone digital single. The film, meanwhile, hits UK movie houses October 26 and in North America on November 6.
