Published Aug 23, 2013If fans need a little extra incentive to pick a copy of Said the Whale's upcoming album, the all-lowercase, willfully misspelled hawaiii, this just might it: the Vancouver pop band have begun selling deluxe pre-order packages through their online store, and these contain copies of the album, along with some unique merch items.
In keeping with the album's Hawaiian theme, the packages come with an inflatable beach ball emblazoned with Said the Whale's band name, plus a pair of sunglasses with "hawaiii" written in red on the white frame. For at-home singing enthusiasts, there's also a DVD containing special karaoke videos for every track on the album.
The CD package costs $40, while the vinyl version — which comes on clear 180-gram wax — is $50. All copies will be signed by the band. Buyers will get a digital version of hawaiii on release day; the packages are scheduled to ship out that same day, although the band notes "you never know with vinyl," indicating that factory delays are always a possibility.

The album will arrive through Hidden Pony Records. Read about it here, and watch the comedic video for the single "I Love You" below.
