Said the Whale Bump Up 'I Love You' Release Date, Map Out Canada/U.S. Tour Dates

BY Gregory AdamsPublished May 7, 2013

West Coast pop rockers Said the Whale had previously set their sights on a June 18 release date for their upcoming I Love You EP, but the band will now slide those songs our way a little sooner, as the record's release has been bumped up to June 4 through Hidden Pony.

As previously reported, the EP was produced by Tom Dobrzanski (the Zolas, We Are the City) and the band's own Tyler Bancroft, and you can check out the peppy title cut out in a lyric video down below.

Beyond the release date, the structure of the EP has changed a bit too, as a press release now lists only three of the four previously announced songs. While new tracks "Barbara-Ann" and "Mother" and the title cut still figure on the release, "Narrows" has been taken off the tracklisting. It's unclear whether the song will be saved for another effort. You can see the changes down below.

Said the Whale will support the EP with a quick stretch of dates concentrating on the U.S. West Coast in June, though they do have a few Canadian festival appearances lined up in the near future too. You can see all the info beneath the EP tracklisting.
