RZA to Star in 'G.I. Joe 2'?

It looks as if all those kung fu movie samples scattered across the Wu-Tang Clan's catalogue have paid off for producer/rapper RZA, as he's likely just netted himself a role as a martial arts expert in the upcoming sequel to G.I. Joe.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, RZA is in talks with the producers of G.I. Joe 2 to play Blind Master, who trained Joe's Snake Eyes and Jinx in the past -- presumably down in the 36th chamber. Chances are Blind Master taught them that honour, not cash, rules everything around them.

The character is a bit of a mystery to the world of G.I. Joe, having only appeared in one comic and only ever being mentioned once in passing on the classic animated series. It's bringing RZA to the big screen, though, so we're all for it. The film also stars Channing Tatum and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The sequel to the 2009 film is set for a summer 2012 release.
