Yesterday (August 24), the new Wu-Tang Clan track "People Say" came out of nowhere, leaving many scratching their heads as to what larger project the track belonged to, if any. Now, it's been revealed that the song will in fact be part of a new RZA-helmed collection called Wu-Tang: The Saga Continues.
The record will arrive via eOne and 36 Chambers Alc on October 13. It will mark the first release from 36 Chambers Alc — RZA and Mustafa Shaikh's lifestyle company. RZA executive produced the project, with Mathematics playing a key role in putting the album together.
As could be expected, it features a slew of regular collaborators, such as (obviously) Wu-Tang Clan, as well as Method Man, Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa and Redman.
In a statement, RZA had this to say about the project:
For years, Math has had the idea of putting together a body of music using modern and legendary equipment such as ASR10 with vocal performances by Wu-Tang Clan members and other prominent MCs. With The Saga Continues he's created a masterpiece. We at 36 Chambers ALC are honoured to work with Mathematics and Wu-Tang Clan to put out a great piece of art.
So far, there's no project tracklist for the album, but you can check out "People Say" below.
