Ryuichi Sakamoto and Alva Noto first collaborated on 2002's Vrioon, which brought the Japanese composer's piano-playing together with the German artist's minimal electronics. Two decades on from its release, the pair will now treat the effort to an expanded reissue.

Arriving May 27 in vinyl, CD and digital editions via NOTON, the reissued Vrioon features audio remastered in collaboration with Calyx Mastering, and adds new composition "Landscape Skizze" to its tracklisting.

Additionally, Noto and Sakamoto will treat their four subsequent collaborative LPs — 2005's Insen, 2008's Revep, 2008's utp_ and 2011's summvs — to expanded, remastered reissues later this year. Taken together, the letters of the five albums together form the word "Virus."

You can revisit Vrioon in the player below, and can pre-order the reissue here.
