Ryan Adams Starts Punk Band Called Pornography, Preps 7-inch for Record Store Day
While Ryan Adams is most closely associated with alt-country, his past forays include joke hip-hop and "legit metal." Now, the eclectic songwriter is part of a new punk band called Pornography, with whom he is prepping a 7-inch for Record Store Day on April 20.

As Consequence of Sound points out, Pornography features Johnny T. Yerington (who played on Adams' 2003 album Rock N Roll and received a co-writing credit on several songs) and Leah Hennessey. Their 7-inch is called 7 Minutes in Heaven, and Adams posted a photo of the vinyl on Twitter.

The single will apparently include a whopping seven songs, which, judging by the title of the collection, are probably each around a minute long.

The 53-second punk scorcher "Last Nite at the Opera" is streaming below. Scroll past the tracklist to check it out.

A press release reveals that the band have another EP and an album in the works. Meanwhile, Adams will perform tomorrow night (March 19) at London, UK's Royal Albert Hall and will apparently preview some new material of his own.
