Ryan Adams Announces Halloween-Themed 'Vampires' 7-Inch

BY Alex HudsonPublished Oct 1, 2014

October is the year's spookiest month, and insanely busy songwriter Ryan Adams is getting into the spirit of the season with the latest instalment in his PAX-AM singles series. This latest 7-inch EP is called Vampires, and it's due out on October 28.

That's the rather bloody artwork above. See the four-song tracklist below (and note that there's a very scary-sounding song called "Clown Asylum"). These tunes were produced by Adams himself.

Currently, that's all we know about the EP. In other words, we're not sure if this channels his usual country rock sound, or if it's one of his goofy stylistic experiments (which have touched on punk, metal and more). He noted on Twitter that this is Halloween-themed, so there's a strong possibility it could be on the sinister side.

The 7-inch can be ordered here, either alone or in a bundle with a T-shirt.

This follows close behind a couple of other recent 7-inches. He released a self-titled album last month.

A2. Magic Flag
B1. Clown Asylum
B2. Suburbia
