What was once unthinkable has now happened: Ryan Adams has covered "Summer of '69" by Bryan Adams.
This comes more than a decade after the younger Adams famously ejected an audience member who shouted out a request for "Summer of '69." Not coincidentally, Ryan covered the song in the same venue where the original incident occurred in 2002: Nashville, TN's Ryman Auditorium.
Watch fan-shot footage of the simple acoustic run-through below. It was filmed yesterday (April 28).
Despite the infamous original incident, it's actually not too much of a surprise than Ryan finally covered "Summer of '69." Back in the fall, he covered Bryan's "Run to You."
Thanks to Consequence of Sound for the heads-up.
