Ryan Adams contributed two songs to the soundtrack for This Is 40, and last night (December 14), he showed up on Conan to promote the film with "Shining Through the Dark."
For the performance of this twangy tune, Adams sat on a chair and strummed an acoustic guitar painted like the Rastafarian flag while accompanied by producer Don Was on upright bass and former Cardinals member Cindy Cashdollar on dobro.
