Ryan Adams

Live on 'Letterman'

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Dec 6, 2011

Alt-country hero and former resident of New York City, Ryan Adams returned to the Big Apple last night (December 5) for a Live on Letterman set. The singer performed a rendition of "Lucky Now" from his latest album Ashes and Fire for broadcast, but stuck around to do a 70-minute set of solo classics, as well as some tunes from his days with the Cardinals and Whiskeytown.

You can watch the performance of "Lucky Now" that aired on TV, and below that you can check out the extended set featuring cuts from the new album like "Ashes & Fire" and "Dirty Rain," in addition to oldie-but-goodies like "Oh My Sweet Carolina" and a piano-fied "New York, New York."

Still not enough Adams for you? He recorded Heartbreaker classic "My Winding Wheel" for radio station KCRW and will be playing his only Canadian date in Toronto on December 10 at the Winter Garden Theatre.
