Ryan Adams recently dropped his full album cover of Taylor Swift's 1989, and the alt-country rocker showed off some of his reinterpretations for a live television audience last night (October 1) on The Daily Show.
Joined by a full band, he first delivered his jangly indie rock reworking of "Bad Blood," then stuck around to chat a bit with the show's new host, Trevor Noah. And although the crowd seemed unsure whether or not to laugh, Adams shook off the awkward giggles and launched into his second song — a roughed up rock'n'roll rendition of "Style."
Adams served as the show's first musical guest since Noah kicked off his reign as the The Daily Show's host earlier this week. Canadians can watch Adams' performance over here, starting at the 14:00 mark.
