Published Dec 07, 2010Over the course of their 40-year career, prog legends Rush have built up one of rock's most loyal fan bases. Supporters who want to witness a moment of Rush history will have their chance on April 15, as the band have announced that they will be filming their upcoming Cleveland concert for a new live release.
A tweet posted by the band on Sunday (December 5) reads, "Rush confirms they are returning to where it all started south of the border and paying homage -- Cleveland April 15th show will be filmed!"
If you watched Rush's recent documentary Beyond the Lighted Stage, then you know that the city of Cleveland played a key role in Rush's rise to fame, as the radio station WMMS was instrumental in building the band's following.
This show will be part of the group's spring 2011 tour, an outing that includes two Canadian dates: Hamilton, ON on April 19 and Montreal on April 20. The jaunt is a continuation of their Time Machine tour, which sees the band play their 1981 album Moving Pictures in full. The schedule is below.
