Though Rush certainly aren't performing any time soon, it isn't as if they've disappeared completely. In addition to Big Book of Beautiful Bass, graphic novel and museum exhibit, the trio have now revealed plans for a new concert film event.

Rush will screen new film R40+ in theatres worldwide on August 21, as part of an event titled "Cinema Strangiato." Described as "an annual exercise in fan indulgence," the film will feature performance, soundcheck and backstage footage from the band's massive R40 anniversary tour.

R40+ will also feature new interviews with producer Nick Raskulinecz, Billy Corgan, Tom Morello, Taylor Hawkins and more. Ticketing and theatre information for the event is set to be released June 20. Fans can sign up for further updates over here.

Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson recently quashed any hopes for a full-blown Rush reunion, echoing sentiments shared by bandmate Geddy Lee late last year. In November of 2018, Lifeson teased a new project with drummer Marco Minnemann.
