Running Like Thieves

Same Time Next Year

A quick glance at this shows you photos of some older dudes playing hardcore. Give it a listen and that’s what you’re going to hear. There is, however, something more to this considering the vocalist used to front ’80s straight-edge icons, Bold. But despite the hardcore history, this really isn’t anything outstanding. The vocals have a dull edge to them and the music is, not surprisingly, ’80s style hardcore with a melodic touch. Lyrically, these six songs are rooted in the lonely, pissed off vein, talking about being stranded in the rain, putting up with two-faced people and the usual stuff. Their straight-edge lineage probably sells them a fair amount of product but without it, they’d be in serious trouble.
