Run the Jewels rapper El-P has announced that a bus breakdown and a fire in their merch trailer took place on the road earlier today (November 26), forcing him and Killer Mike to postpone their concert in Montreal tomorrow.
News first came from the rapper over Twitter, where he reported the harrowing incident, which occurred while the group were on their way from Detroit to Toronto, as such:
The group have apparently been forced to postpone tomorrow night's performance at Montreal's Club Soda, but El-P tweeted, "we will work hard to reschedule a Montreal show for as soon as we can." Tonight's performance at Toronto's Danforth Music Hall will go down as planned, with Run the Jewels undertaking air travel to get to the club.

Switching to his Instagram account, he posted footage of the tour van pulled over to the side of a highway, with the back of the group's U-Haul opened up and merch strewn across a field. As you'll see, some of the items are ablaze. The group have apparently been forced to postpone tomorrow night's performance at Montreal's Club Soda, but El-P tweeted, "we will work hard to reschedule a Montreal show for as soon as we can." It's been a tough week for Run the Jewels, who had reported van problems on Monday night (November 24) that nearly derailed a show at St. Louis' Ready Room. The band eventually made it to the club, with Killer Mike delivering a passionate speech about the Ferguson grand jury's decision that night to not indict police officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of teenager Michael Brown last summer.UPDATE: Killer Mike has also shared an Instagram video of the trailer fire, which you can see down below.
