Ruby Coast Announce Canadian Tour, Album in 2011

BY Josiah HughesPublished Sep 7, 2010

In 2008, Aurora, ON-based indie pop crew Ruby Coast self-released their debut EP, Projectable Collections. The disc caught the attention of label executives across the board, and the band were shopped around endlessly. Rather than sign right away, however, they decided to hit the studio and complete their debut full-length.

The record doesn't have a title as of yet, and Altsounds.com reports that it's due in early 2011. It was recorded at Montreal's Hotel2Tango, with producers Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade) and Brian Paulson (Wilco, Dinosaur Jr.). Two songs from the album ("Whatever This Is" and "Creep Me Out") can be streamed on the band's MySpace here.

Ruby Coast will be previewing the new material when they hit the road this fall. With dates throughout Ontario, Quebec and the eastern United States, audiences all around can find out what this hype is all about.
