Winnipeg pop group Royal Canoe recently released their new album Something Got Lost Between Here and the Orbit, and now that release's title has proven more ominous than expected. While on tour through Quebec, they lost all of their musical equipment after someone stole their trailer.
The theft took place through the night at a hotel near Montreal. The group had secured their trailer with a heavy duty lock, but thieves still managed to get away with the band's belongings.
Royal Canoe say the thieves made off with "every bit of musical gear we own." A massive itemized list of stolen goods is available here.
UPDATE (10/26, 2:20 p.m. EDT): Royal Canoe have now launched a crowdfunding campaign to help bounce back from the devastating theft. You can learn more about it here.
