Eclectic Winnipeg pop troupe Royal Canoe have already spent some of 2012 touring in support of their recent Extended Play EP, but the Manitoba music group are once again hitting the road.
Their next trip starts this Thursday (September 13) as part of Victoria, BC's Rifflandia festival and will see the act travelling around North America from there. Between now and the end of September, they'll focus on the West Coast of Canada and the U.S. After taking a week off, Royal Canoe hooks up with Brooklyn's Savoir Adore for some October dates, and the acts hit Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto before dipping back into the U.S. There are also some shows booked in Saskatchewan in November.
Though they just issued Extended Play last spring, Royal Canoe are now offering up another mini-effort called Purple and Gold. The set was issued digitally today (September 11), and features two new cuts: "Show Me Your Eyes" and "Summersweat," as well as remixes from Mother Mother's Ryan Guldemond and Tim "DJ Co op" Hoover.
The EP will be pressed onto 7-inch vinyl on October 8, and you can pre-order the tangible wax platter or grab the MP3s over here.
