Following the chaos that ensued during Jason Aldean's set on Sunday night (October 1) in Las Vegas, the Route 91 Harvest organizers have shared an official statement.
In it, the festival team proclaims that they are "completely devastated" by the incident, which left 59 people dead (including at least three Canadians) and more than 500 injured. The message goes on to express sympathies to those injured and killed in the attack and their loved ones, adding that organizers "have little in the way of answers."
The Route 91 Harvest team also extends gratitude to the Las Vegas Police Department, emergency workers, security staff and concertgoers "for their selfless acts of bravery while trying to help those in need."
The statement closes with a call to move forward with love over hate, and to honour those who lost their lives "because it matters."

As previously reported, the massacre was carried out by 64-year-old Stephen Paddock from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel. He subsequently shot and killed himself.
