Roots Lining Up Album for Summer Release

Apparently, Jimmy Fallon doesn't keep too short a leash on his house band the Roots, as the Philadelphia hip-hop legends have found the time to write and record their eighth studio album. Titled How I Got Over, the album is slated for a summer release on Def Jam.

There's not much more information, but Billboard is reporting that the crew filmed a video for the album's lead single, "I Walk Alone," in New York earlier this week.

Fallon has even given the go-ahead for the crew to take part on the U.S. leg of the previously announced Rock the Bells tour. They'll also be hitting up Montreal's Osheaga Festival on August 1. Such a generous man, that Jimmy Fallon.
