Roosevelt Dime

"Should I Be Leaving " (Pinball sessions video)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished May 14, 2015

Brooklyn roots unit Roosevelt Dime are the latest artists to team up with Guelph, ON-based video series the Pinball Sessions. They've recorded new video performance of their track "Should I Be Leaving," and Exclaim! is giving you the first look at it, right here.

They may be based in New York's hipster mecca, but the band's sound channels the soul of New Orleans and the bluegrass of the Appalachians, crafting music that showcases "driving, melodic banjo, fat-back blues guitar, pure honky-tonk harmonies, and deliciously dirty R&B vocals."

These all come through on "Should I Be Leaving," which the band delivered at this year's Folk Alliance in Kansas. The performance was captured by the folks at Pinball Sessions, and if you scroll past the band's upcoming Ontario tour dates, you can see the results by watching the video below. Head here to check out the full session.

Tour dates:

06/26 Orillia, ON – The Brownstone Café
06/27 Peterborough, ON – The Gordon Best Theatre
