Published Jan 06, 2011We have good news for music fans with a few million dollars kicking around in their bank accounts: right now is an excellent time to be in the market for a mansion that was once owned by a famous musician. L.A. Weekly recently published its list of the top ten musicians who have put their Los Angeles mansions up for sale in the past year, giving those with enough green no excuse not to live it up like a rock star (well, if they aren't already).
According to the newspaper, recently deceased metal legend Ronnie James Dio's mansion is the best of the bunch. The 5,057-square-foot house is currently up for sale, with an asking price of $3,333,000. Above, you can see a photo of the home, which was built with original antiques from Europe and contains five bedrooms, five bathrooms and a recording studio.
Kanye West's $3,995,000 Hollywood Hills mansion came in at No. 2, while Michael Jackson's former rented 1.26-acre estate was number three. The top-five was rounded out by the homes of Blink-182's Tom DeLonge and Better Than Ezra's Kevin Griffin.
