Later this month, Winnipeg blues songstress Romi Mayes will roll out her shit-kicking fifth LP, Lucky Tonight. As we previously reported, the ten-song set was recorded live in one take during a recent concert. Given this album's live genesis, it's only fitting that Mayes will be supporting it with a lengthy North American tour.
The jaunt begins the week after Lucky Tonight drops on April 26, kicking off in Thunder Bay, ON on May 2. From there, Mayes will play a slew of Ontario dates before heading down into the U.S. and eventually making her way back to her home province of Manitoba in June.
This is just the beginning of Mayes's tour plans for 2011. She plans to hit the road in Western Canada in August, followed by a tour of Yukon and Alaska in September and October. In November and December, she will cross the Atlantic for a European jaunt.
