While a due date is up in the air, Atlanta rapper Rome Fortune will eventually be releasing his Small VVorld EP. Ahead of the whole release, though, he's served up a new, relationship-exploring tune with rising rap figure ILOVEMAKONNEN called "FriendsMaybe."
The Money Karlo production flirts with gummy bear-sweet synth sounds and early '90s pop-rap breaks, with ILOVEMAKONNEN supplying a quirkily crooned hook about a communication breakdown. Fortune finds himself lacing his lines with Jumanji references and kicking it at home with his gal in a Williamsburg apartment.
