Vancouver's Rococode had the unfortunate challenge of winning over a crowd of 20 people on a Friday night and, unfortunately, the quartet just could not deliver. A shitty sound mix didn't help the situation, burying singers Laura Smith and Andrew Braun's vocals — the band's centerpiece — underneath the guitar and drums. But it was their inability to match the slick sound of their debut, Guns, Sex & Glory, live; Braun in particular flubbed several of his guitar leads and seemed as concerned with messing about with his foot pedals as he did with leading his group. Rococode are a good band who've played much larger shows than this; it seems like the situation just go the better of them.
