Canada's answer to Queens of the Stone Age avoids the sophomore jinx with this Ian Blurton-produced slab of monstrous riff-rock. The second offering from the Nova Scotia-based power trio is heavier on the riffs and the classic metal elements and with Blurton's help, rawer and more urgent. Some of the best ‘70s-flavoured Can-rock since the Stampeders' "Wild Eyes.” It's small wonder Rock Ranger has been sharing the stage with the likes of Danko Jones and Tricky Woo.
