Rock Plaza Central Sign To Paper Bag

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Apr 7, 2009

It looks as if Rock Plaza Central won't be self-releasing their next album after all. This week, Paper Bag Records announced that the Toronto-based imprint has scooped up the art-folk outfit, confirming they will release the band's upcoming sophomore effort, ...at the Moment of Our Most Needing or If Only They Could Turn Around, They Would Know They Weren't Alone.

As previously reported, this follow-up to 2006's Are We Not Horses is due out in Canada on May 28, with Paper Bag also giving the record a U.S. release on June 16. The album is apparently inspired by William Faulkner's novel Light in August and was recorded in the same studio as Are We Not Horses, with almost the exact same line-up.

You can currently check out the new Rock Plaza Central track "(Don't You Believe the Words of) Handsome Men" over on the band's MySpace page, and prepare yourself for a full-fledged North American tour later this year.

Here are the tracks that will appear on ...at the Moment of Our Most Needing or If Only They Could Turn Around, They Would Know They Weren't Alone:
