Published Mar 09, 2012Have you ever seen Penticton, BC, in summer? Believe us, it's lovely. Making the sunny season even better this year is the Rock the Peach Music Fest, which will be bringing some big-name musical acts to the Okanagan Valley from July 27 to 29.
The lineup is sure to please radio rock fans with a special fondness for the sounds of yesteryear. The performers include revivalists Sam Roberts Band, '90s alt-rockers Collective Soul, '60/'70s stars Three Dog Night, the recently reunited Treble Charger, funk lifers War, '80s Canuck favourites Glass Tiger, and rootsy survivors Blackie and the Rodeo Kings.
The event takes part in Penticton's Kings Park. Early bird passes are on sale now and cost $199 for the whole weekend. Individual day tickets and reduced-price children's passes are also available. For an extra $175, ticket holders have the option to purchasing a VIP pass that gets you a T-shirt, a lanyard, lineup priority, bar service, special seating, and other benefits.
To get tickets and learn more about the festival, head over at the event's official website.
The Rock the Peach Music Fest shouldn't be confused with the annual Penticton Peach Festival, which takes place in August (and, incidentally, will feature 54-40 this year).
