As if Guided by Voices' insanely prolific recent output weren't already enough, songwriter Robert Pollard is preparing to release yet another new album, this time under his own name. Honey Locust Honky Tonk is due out on July 8 through Fire Records, and he's now shared an album cut called "I Killed a Man Who Looks Just Like You."
This song is a mid-tempo acoustic rock number that shifts from moody guitar licks to sombre vocals. It's not terribly distinctive, but its succinct runtime makes it a pleasant enough way to spend less than two minutes.
