RIP Johnny Truant (2002 - 2008)

BY Dave SynyardPublished Oct 31, 2008

Brighton, England's Johnny Truant will no longer be assaulting slam dancers with their "tea and crumpets” take on metalcore. The word of JT's disbanding was released today (October 31), which comes shortly after their latest release, No Tears for the Creatures, this past June.

The band made the announcement via their MySpace page but failed to give a reason why they’re packing it in. They did, however, leave a farewell message that reads:

We have had many amazing years and made many great friends along the way. Thank you to everyone that has supported us and shared so many fantastic times with us, it's been a hell of a ride and one that we are very proud of. Our final shows will be in the UK in December. Come along and let's make them the biggest party we can.

Many North Americans amongst others will miss out on seeing JT on their final lap of shows, which will run across the UK throughout December. For those willing to make the trip or live close, here are the tour dates for their swan song tour. No supporting bands have been listed yet.
