Now that most of us have fully recovered from our Canadian Thanksgiving turkey gorging, it's a better time than ever to look back on the week that was and double check that nothing passed you by. So once again here's our news roundup to make that oh so easy on you.

This week was not without its drama, as well as its selection of downs. Keeping our Beefs 2014 instalments alive and well, Grimes accused Ariel Pink of "delusional misogyny" over his Madonna comments, Snoop Dogg took some pretty ugly shots at Iggy Azalea and the Black Keys' Patrick Carney slammed U2 over the release scheme behind Songs of Innocence.

Then we sadly had the death of Jack White/Mars Volta keyboard player Isaiah "Ikey" Owens and that of LFO electronic mastermind Mark Bell, Black Flag's Greg Ginn getting accused of child abuse, and a concert tragedy in South Korea leaving at least 16 dead.

In more positive news, Sam Smith announced a North American winter tour, Wilco detailed their 20th anniversary box set and best-of, Dan Mangan + Blacksmith announced their Club Meds LP and Calgary's Viet Cong revealed their self-titled debut LP as well.
