Whitney Houston's family has been struck by tragedy once again, as the late pop singer's daughter has passed away. Bobbi Kristina Brown was 22.

"She is finally at peace in the arms of God," said a statement from the Houston family. "We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months."

Bobbi Kristina had been in a medically induced coma for almost six months, since January 31 of this year. In an incident that was sadly reminiscent of her mother's death in 2012, she had been discovered face-down in a bathtub in her home in Roswell, GA.

The daughter of Whitney Houston and new jack swing star Bobby Brown, Bobbi was an occasional singer who had been known to perform with her mother. She achieved fame thanks to her appearances on reality shows like Being Bobby Brown (2005) and The Houstons: On Our Own (2012-2013). She became engaged to a close family friend, Nick Gordon, in 2012.

For those who have followed the story closely, the news of her death is not unexpected. Since being placed in a medically induced coma earlier this year, many reports had emerged suggesting that she was not expected to recover.
