Roster details could be a ways off, but organizers behind the multi-city Riot Fest have officially confirmed that they'll once again be stopping through Toronto, Denver and Chicago this summer.
The news was delivered through the Riot Fest team this morning (March 5), who confirmed all three weekend-long parties. It's noted that "these festival dates are a little different from years past," though it's unclear at present time what this means, exactly. That said, Denver will host the "Riot Fest & Sideshow" from August 28 to 30; Chicago presents the "Riot Fest & Carnival" on September 11 through 13; and, finally, Toronto puts on the "Riot Fest & Expo" on September 19 and 20.
Details on the lineup for the respective stops have yet to be revealed. Last year, though, the Toronto instalment featured a hefty group of bands that included the Cure, the Flaming Lips, Death Cab for Cutie, City and Colour, the National, Death From Above 1979, the New Pornographers, Rise Against, Thurston Moore, the Afghan Whigs, Bob Mould, Metric, and many more.
