Rihanna Joins Anne Hathaway, Sandra Bullock, Mindy Kaling in 'Ocean's Eleven' Spinoff

Rumours have been swirling for a while about a new, all-female entry in the Ocean's Eleven series, and today the film's cast has been unveiled. The whole thing is, well, ridiculously star-studded.

Called Ocean's Eight, the film will star Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett alongside Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter and Mindy Kaling.

There are also two prominent musicians in the cast, with Asian-American rapper (and Neighbors 2 scene stealer) Awkwafina booking a role alongside enormous megastar Rihanna.

Of course, that only brings the cast up to seven, meaning there's still time to book an eighth female for the film's title. There are also possibilities of cameos from the original Ocean's Eleven franchise.

The spinoff is being directed by Gary Ross, who also co-wrote it with Olivia Milch. Ross is a long-time associate of Ocean's Eleven director Steven Soderbergh, who will serve as a producer on the film.

Thanks to Deadline for the tip.
