It's been a great few years for fans of classic shoegaze act Ride, and things are about to get a whole lot better. Believe it or not, the UK band are working on a new album, marking the group's first since 1996.
The news comes via producer Erol Alkan, who confirmed he is working with Ride on a follow-up to 1996's Tarantula. He broke the news via an Instagram post, which you can see below:
Following their breakup shortly after the release of Tarantula, Ride reunited in 2014. Following some touring, they also reissued their classic Nowhere album in 2015.
At this point, we know little else about the upcoming album, but stay tuned for details.
