Published Jan 07, 2013Late last year, following a few cancelled concert dates, Rick Ross announced he would soon be detailing an upcoming LP that would pop up sometime in 2013. While he hasn't dropped an official street date, the Bawse has now gone revealed the set will be called Mastermind.
The rotund rapper premiered a trailer earlier today (January 7), which hints at the sound of the set without actually displaying any grunt-assisted bars. In it, we see a lady rifling through Rozay's record collection, with French jazz-funk crew Cortex's "Prelude" and Curtis Mayfield's sensual Super Fly stunner "Give Me Your Love" apparently being a few of her favourite cuts. Old LPs from Marvin Gaye and Michael Jackson are also pictured, potentially pointing towards an especially old-school-soul- and R&B-influenced direction.
From there, we get a tour of the rapper's pad before the now bikini-clad houseguest joins Ross for a shot or two of Ciroc in the hot tub.
While a date has yet been pegged for the platter, Ross previously noted, "That's coming summer 2013, so once again the summer is mine."
Mastermind will obviously be issued by his Maybach Music Group, which recently entered a distribution deal with Atlantic.
