Published May 16, 2014We're all dying for another Rich Aucoin LP, and thankfully it looks as if we're going to get one later this fall. The East Coast eccentric popsmith's sophomore set will be called Ephemeral, and it will be issued by his new label home of Bonsound.
Not too many details have been shed just yet, but the forthcoming full-length follow-up to 2011's breakthrough debut We're All Dying to Live has been described in a press release as "a poppy, hook-driven, and relentless singalong." If you've caught any of the artist's communal-style, slogan-heavy sets, this should come as no surprise.
While a firm due date and tracklisting have not yet been made available, the album will include new tune "Are You Experiencing?" The melodic, drum machine-driven pulser is being previewed ahead of the LP release with a video, which was edited together by Ian MacMillan, using fan-shot footage from recent Aucoin performances.
You'll find the guy and his faithful chanting lines like "This heart is all that keeps us up / This heart is beating" underneath a massive, multi-coloured parachute in the player down below, where you'll also find info on a few upcoming concert dates.
