Revelation Records Reissue Rage Against the Machine EP

After reuniting for live dates and becoming one of the biggest bands in the world again, everyone is anxious to hear some new Rage Against the Machine. It appears fans will have to keep waiting for some fresh political funk metal, as the band have not yet commentated on the possibility of new studio material. Fortunately, Californian hardcore label Revelation Records will be reissuing Rage’s People of the Sun ten-inch vinyl EP on August 19.

Revelation Records played an interesting role in Rage’s formative years. Zach de la Rocha’s youth crew hardcore band Inside Out were set to release an album on activist Kent McLard’s Ebullition Records but decided to go with Revelation’s better ditribution instead. Soon after, Inside Out broke up and Rage Against the Machine (a term coined in one of McLard’s early political zines) were born.

While fans wait for new RATM material, there's always Tom Morello’s the Nightwatchman and Zach De La Rocha’s recently announced One Day As a Lion project to tide over the hungry.
