With Nintendo’s now-gen console still surging, publishers are scrambling to get their games onto the Wii. Often that’s meant games from other consoles ported over with superficial control upgrades — well, meet a "wii-make” worth its motion-sensitive salt. The original Resident Evil 4 was a survival-horror classic and 2005’s best-reviewed game, but the new Wii edition is widely considered the definitive version. Sure, the graphics feel slightly dated, but whatevs — Wii owners are more concerned with style and gameplay anyway and this revamp delivers both. The post-zombie adventure offers atmospheric art direction and an ace control update that lets you slit throats with a flick of the wrist and makes console shooting as easy as aiming a laser pointer. So now enjoy a higher head shot count as you mow through oh-so-many brainwashed minions en route to RE4’s creepy conclusion.
